In the beginning all I wanted was a simple word of appreciation from you, like “thank you”. Then the emails started to fill up my mailbox asking for help with the installation even though I had put out videos with step by step instructions.
I didn’t let you down anyway and I’ve always helped you at no charge but that became part of my daily tasks and now there’s been updates in the software: bugs were fixed and improvements were done. So I’ve updated the MT4 Wrapper too and to make it worthy for me and for the developers of Wineskin I’ve decided to take donations and share it with the Wineskin developers. The wrapper allows you to install any broker’s MT4 platform in it. After downloading the MT4 Mac Wrapper which you’ve already done you need to install an instance of MT4 in it (whatever broker you dealing with) if it’s from FXPRO you need to install the FXPRO MT4 .exe file in the wrapper. If you already have the MT4 .exe file from FXPRO in your Mac use it, if not you need to download it from FXPRO website again. Follow the vids it’s all in there.

Thank you so much for coming back to me so quickly, really impressed. OK, all clear about the no sound on the vids now, knew it was me getting it wrong! But being a bit dim about downloading the broker element; I’ve demo traded with FXPRO up till now and would like to continue, what exactly is it that I download from them? Sorry for the (probable) dum question.

1) There’s no sound on the youtube vids.
2) The file you’ve downloaded has only the wrapper. The FXDD file you’ll have to download it from the FXDD website or if you want to install an MT4 from another broker you’ll have to download it from your chosen broker’s website. Then all you have to do is install the MT4 on the wrapper. (see vids)

Hi, I have been looking for a way around getting MT4 onto my Mac for ages, so thank you very much: 2 problems though both of which I’m sure are my doing…can’t hear any sound with the youtube vids, any suggestions…and, have downloaded the zip file but can only retrieve the MacMT4 file and not the FXDD file needed to open the MacMT4 file with, again, what am I doing wrong? Thanks very much for your free hard work.
